Sophie Blackall's most recent picture book with author Meg Rosoff is Wild Boars Cook, published by Henry Holt. This is the sequel to their award-winning Meet Wild Boars, which is beloved by wily kindergartners here, there and everywhere, judging by the new Korean and Hebrew translations.

The boars are back, wreaking havoc in the kitchen, making and devouring a massive pudding in the process. The ingredients will inspire any culinary enthusiast: A gross of donuts, one and a half puddles, a bucket of squishy butter and 26 bananas. Not to mention a squid.

Sophie is currently working on several other picture books, trying not to get them confused on her desk. The characters range from wombats to naughty orphans, to feisty young Pakistani girls.
