I recently did 33 illustrations for a children's book, which has now been killed as the author decided she doesn't like the work I did (why she would wait until we'd finished the project is beyond me, but anyway, I have a feeling there is another story to all of this that I will never find out)...

My question is, is there any issue with me posting that work to my online portfolio and blog?

I expect she will eventually have this illustrated by someone else and she is a small publisher, so is doing that on her own, but my illustrations are free to be used for my own promotional purposes anyway, right?  or wrong?

I don't want to create drama, but would like to post some of the images...
