I'm a contract freelancer for Shoebox Greeting cards, and I've been told by Hallmark that I need to upgrade my Adobe CS software. When I researched the new CS, I realized that the the new CS4 versions won't work with anything older than a G5 computer, so I also need to upgrade my computer. The new Mac Pro CPU is around $2500, and the 27 inch Imac is $1700. I'm really watching my budget like everybody else. Are there any drawbacks to using an Imac for illustration? Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I gotta make a quick decision and I don't have much time for research.
